UNESCO’s Network of Schools

The Professional and Agricultural School Quinta da Lageosa has recently joined the Network of Schools associated to UNESCO.

This, together with Frei Heitor Pinto School Group (2016), is the second teaching institution, partner of “Covilhã Design City”, to join this Network.

The Network, which includes a total of 151 educational institutions, develops its work in three main areas: Global Citizenship and a culture of peace and non-violence; Sustainable Development and sustainable lifestyles; Intercultural Learning and enhancement of cultural diversity and heritage.

The Associated Schools must undertake and develop innovative initiatives and  teaching methods, and endeavour to publicise the results of their work in order to contribute to teacher training and the students’ curriculum.
